Shiomi baseball ground opens
In July 1968 (Shōwa 43), six months after the land joined the ward, the Shiomi baseball ground opened.
The chronology in "Kōtō-ku no Ayumi" records "Shiomi baseball ground and Toyozumi tennis courts opened" in July Shōwa 43 (1968). In the ward's park register, Shiomi Sports Park opened on 31 March 1969 (Shōwa 44).
Some websites give 1962 for the opening of the baseball ground, but at that time No. 8 was still receiving garbage, and the date does not agree with the ward's records.
