Public opening of the former Shibusawa residence and NOVARE Archives
On 10 April 2025 (Reiwa 7), the former Shibusawa residence (former Shibusawa family house) and NOVARE Archives (the Shimizu history museum) opened to the public.
According to Shimizu Corporation's announcement, there were two public days in April, Thursday the 10th and Thursday the 24th, after which the buildings were to be open every Thursday (except the third Thursday and company holidays). Bookings opened on 3 March. Tours of the former Shibusawa residence take about 90 minutes for up to ten people and cost ¥1,000 (primary-school age and over). The museum is free.
